K2C Goes to London on our own Learning Journey

May 2, 2012

K2C is also on a journey of lifelong learning, just like the people we help. We always strive to update our knowledge and hone our skills to teach and coach others to work more effectively on global teams. In June, we will be going to London to join a special group of intercultural specialists at an exciting 2-day networking and learning event sponsored by WorldWork Ltd. entitled "Building Intercultural Competence: from self-awareness to personal change". Daniel Ofman, internationally recognized author of 7 books and respected guru in the area of personal development, will speak to us about who we are, what we want to become, and how we get there. We plan to apply the new concepts from Daniel's session to our own work with global teams. This annual event is a terrific opportunity for us to renew our professional contacts and also, to share and learn more about personal change, team development, and best practices in creating change through the use of WorldWork's research-based assessment tools.

The primary purpose of K2C is to help individuals and organizations broaden and develop new and different skills to work more effectively in global teams. Our goal is to work with others to bring about personal, sustainable change for improved work performance in a global environment. We teach others the concepts of global competencies (Awareness), encourage people to reflect on those concepts in light of their own unique global contexts (Insight) and identify specific steps that will ensure an improved global work performance (Action). This approach successfully promotes a lifetime of learning to develop global team competence for the 21st century.

We are keen to share with you what we learn from our journey to London in our global leadership and teamwork programs!

"We shall not cease from exploration. And the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time." --T. S. Eliot
